William Walter Goslin, died Monday afternoon May 10, 1937, at the home of his daughter Mrs. Otis Hicks of Ladoga. His mother Martha Cunningham Goslin, was born on government entered land in Franklin Township and her parents as well as those of her husband, William Franklin Goslin, had a part in the early church, school and county work. William Walter was born September 21, 1858. He married on November 5, 1878 to Sophia Burkett. On November 5, 1928 he and his wife celebrated their 50th anniversary, but seven years later, the home was broken up and the mother joined the little daughter, Cleo, who died March 1, 1896. The other children surviving are; Isabel now Mrs. James Grider, husband and daughter Viola, Roachdale, Viva, married Otis Hicks, of Ladoga, they have two daughters, Beatrice Hicks and Geneva Hicks Himes, James, married Thelma Stamp, and their daughters, Mariam, Lucille and Susanna live near Darlington, and Burkett, the youngest lives in Roachdale with wife Cora Irwin Goslin and son John William. Only brother James G Goslin and family lives in Indianapolis.   --- thanks to Marilyn W.
